Interaction of titanium and zirconium with uranium monophosphide

Description
Character and degree of titanium and zirconium interaction with uranium monophosphide are studied at 1073-1473 K. TiP and ZrP monophosphides and uranium and phosphorus solid solutions in metals are interaction products. Kinetic constants of monophosphide layer growth are determined. Comparison of rates of metal interaction with uranium and phosphorus monophosphide is carried out. Formation of monophosphides is associated with uranium dissolving in the monophosphides
