Observation of nonlinear processes in the ionosphere

Description
Observation of auroral electron distribution from the view point of physics of plasma-beam interactions is presented. Electron acceleration in the form of discrete auroral arcs is discussed. At present experimental data don't agree with the simulations of plasma layer electron acceleration by parallel electric fields. To remove the existing contradictions attention is payed to the necessary account of the wave-particle type interaction
