Modulational instability of derivative non-linear Schroedinger equation

Description

The modulational instability (MI) for the derivative NLS equation is studied using both a deterministic and a statistical approach. In the statistical approach different initial conditions are investigated and the influence of the statistical properties of the medium on the MI is thoroughly analysed. (author)
