Description

Chemical composition of two types of scapolite from the Evate deposit in Mozambique This thesis is focused on scapolite from carbonatite rock from the Evate deposit and associated rock. In the samples scapolites are associated with calcite, apatite, phlogopite, biotite, amphibole and diopside. Scapolites in the sample EVT-5 from carbonatite have lower content of EqAn (41-58), marialitic content is higher (0,36-0,65), content of Cl is 0,22-0,45 apfu and C 0,45-0,71 apfu. On the other hand scapolites from the sample F70-109 have higher content of EqAn (54-68), meionitic content is higher (0,67-0,73), content of Cl is 0,06-0,17 apfu and C 0,64- 0,69 apfu. (authors)
