Anatomo-functional peculiarities of temporo-mandibular joints according to the data of X-ray examination in relation to age

To study the age peculiarities of temporo-mandibular joint in the norm in the case of orthognathic and direct occlusion, 45 oncological patients in the age from 30 to 70 were examined. Tomography was applied to study the peculiarities depending on the age of patients and the most frequently occuring type of occlusion. On the basis of studies performed the conclusion is made on the necessity of applying the roentgenological method both for the analysis of anatomical changes of the joint and its functional peculiarities when studying vertical and sagittal lower jaw movements. 7 refs.; 2 tabs
