Synthesis and animal studies of technetium-99m MAG3, a renal function imaging agent

Description
A technetium-chelating agent, mercaptoacetylglycylglycylglycine (MAG3), was synthesized and chelated with 99mTc. Animal studies of 99mTc-MAG3 indicated that it excretes faster than o-iodohippurate (OIH) both in normal and in probenecid treated animals
