Description
The migration of 59Fe and 54Mn supplied to the apex, middle and base of young corn leaves was followed using a modified chromatogram scanner. It was found that these elements always moved towards the base of the intact as well as excised leaf, thus showing that there was a mobilizing force at the base of the leaf. (author)
