Elimination of 210Po after its inhalation under natural metabolism and during administration of oxathiol
Description
The content of 210Po was determined in biosubstrates after inhalation of the isotope by man. The data were obtained for similar conditions of inhalation both without the use of any substances accelerating the elimination of the isotope from the body and with subsequent injections of oxathiol. It has been established that under certain conditions of 210Po elimination from the respiratory organs its excretion through the gastrointestinal tract is practically not observed. The role of oxathiol combined with 210Po in the development of the radiation dose for the kidneys and other organs was evaluated
