Description

An electron-gamma coincidence system has been developed for the NPL double-focussing, iron-free beta-ray spectrometer. The beta-ray spectrum from the decay of 47Ca has been measured, and a value of (1991.2 + - 1.8) keV obtained for the 47Ca - 47Sc atomic-mass difference. (author)
