- 1. Zentralinstitut fuer Kernforschung, Rossendorf (Germany, F.R.)
Description
A description is given of the five research and training reactors in use; RFR, a light-water cooled and moderated reactor of the Soviet Type WWR-S with an output of 10MW; RRR, an Argonaut Type zero output reactor; RAKE, a Tank Type zero output reactor; AKR, a homogeneous type zero output reactor and ZLFR, a Tank Type zero output reactor. The use of the reactors for reactor and neutron research, the production of radio-active isotopes and of neutron-endowed silicon and activation analysis for both research and training is described.
