Properties of dynamic membranes supported in ceramic material
- 1. Comision Chilena de Energia Nuclear, Santiago (Chile). Dept. de Materiales Nucleares
Description
The fabrication of inorganic membranes, used in the treatment of radioactive residues and in the electrodialysis experiments, is described in this journal article. The dynamic inorganic membrane is chemically precipitated into ceramic porous support and then it is modified electrochemically prior to utilization. During the present work, there have been prepared different kinds of ceramic supports controlling both their porosity and mechanical strength, thinking of eventual use of these membranes in industry. 5 refs, 5 figs, 1 tab
