Description
A series of paraffin wax / conductive natural rubber composites have been produced on a laboratory scale, and their neutron shielding properties had been measured. The half value thickness was found to be about 1.8 cm for fast neutron flux. The effects of wax content (0-80-phr), as well as physical aging on the thermal and electrical properties of the composites were investigated. An attempt was also made to calculate the cross-linking density of the composites
