Description
For more than ten years, analysis have been performed in the Federal Republic of Germany on hypothetical events in light water reactors with complete core melt-down. Counteracting measures, e.g. the venting of the containment atmosphere, became important in some foreign European countries. For KWU-type pressurized water reactors, the most important alternate containment concepts are reviewed on the basis of up-to-date knowledge. The influence of the structural characteristics of KWU containments on the effectiveness of alternate containment concepts is stressed. (orig.)
Abstract (German)
(orig.)Additional details
