Electron shell processes accompanying β--decay of scandium nucleus

Description
Theoretical results are presented which demonstrate the sensitivity of the electron shell of 21Sc atom to the β--decay of its nucleus and the effect of the processes on the shape of the β--spectrum near its edge. Calculations are carried out in a sudden approximation. The atomic wave functions of the 21Sc parent nucleus and daughter ion 22Ti+ are evaluated in the Hartry-Fock approximation
