Modelling of combustion in circulating fluidized bed boilers (CFBB)
Description
The Institute for Technische Waermelehre (Thermal Engineering) is working on a long term project with the aim to develop a simulation model for circulating fluidized bed boilers for engineering purposes. The model consists of 3 main subroutines: solids distribution, coal combustion, heat transfer, pollutants modelling. The global model and the submodels will be briefly described. A short report will be given on the scope of laboratory testing in Vienna carried out in cooperation with other Institutes and International Cooperation within Europe. (author)
