  • 1. Katedra Radiologii, Collegium Medicum, Uniwersytet Jagiellonski, Cracow (Poland)

Description

Tuberous sclerosis (Bournevilles disease) is included in a group of hereditary neurocutaneous dysplasiae. Apart from typical lesions in central nervous system and on skin, symptoms from manyother organs including bones may occur in course of that disease. The authors present a case of bone lesions in course of tuberous sclerosis, found accidentally on conventional x-rays of spine. Radiological pattern of numerous osteosclerotic foci in course of Bournevilles disease requires differentiation from neoplastic lesions of metastatic nature. (author)
