Description
This paper deals with some research work carried out in the laboratories of the Boris Kidric Institute of Nuclear Sciences concerning the problems of monitoring and handling in emergency conditions. Three research fields have been chosen: electronic emergency systems and instrumentation, body sodium activation for dose determination and decontamination treatment in the case of a nuclear accident. The results obtained and their applicability under emergency conditions are indicated. (author)
