Proposals for and neutronic analyses and characteristics of blankets of the LA-0 transmutor for nuclear burning of spent fuel and radioactive wastes from VVER type reactors
Description
Calculations of the neutronic characteristic of proposed blankets of the LA-0 transmutor are described with emphasis on the analysis of the multiplication characteristics, spatial distribution of the neutron flux density, kinetics of subcritical systems, calculation of critical actinide concentrations in the blanket and their 'combustion' during a hypothetical operation of the transmutor
