Radionuclides in the wine and distillates

This work was focused to determination of radionuclides ⁹⁰Sr and ¹³⁷Cs in samples of wine, grapes, soil and distillated alcohol from Slovakia and Croatia and their subsequent comparison. Solid phase extraction methods were used for the separation ⁹⁰Sr radionuclide from wine, the minimum of detectable activity value was to < 50.55 Bq kg^-1. The highest yield was the sample with the lowest volume, with the increase in volume the yield decreased. TBP extraction method was used to determine radionuclides in soil, grape and distillated alcohols samples. With TBP method was used to determined radionuclides in soil, grape an distillated alcohols. The activities of ⁹⁰Sr from Croatian's samples in soil was (5.26 ± 0.38) Bq kg^-1, in grapes (0.52 ± 0.16) Bq kg¹ and in distillated alcohol (0,54 ± 0,16) Bq dm^-3. These samples were then compared with Slovakian samples, where ⁹⁰Sr activity in soil was (2.31 ± 0.14) Bq kg^-1, in grape (0.27 ± 0.11) Bq kg^-1 and in distilated alcohol (0.325 ± 0.11) Bq dm^-3. Soil samples was also measured ¹³⁷Cs activity by HPGe detector. In the sample from Croatia was the activity (5.39 ± 0.46) Bq kg^-1 and in the sample of Slovak soil (4.73 ± 0.33) Bq kg^-1. (authors)
