Description

Full-scale simulation of the response of the Big lonization Calorimeter of Tyan-Shan High Altitude Scientific Station on single protons and muons by means of GEANT4 was performed to evaluate the contribution of muon component to generation of unusual events (such as Anti-Centauros), which were detected by this calorimeter, and in imitation of long-flying component changing the form of the average cascade curve. The comparison of simulation results with experimental data has shown that the appearance of Anti-Centauros can be completely explained by the contribution of multiple interactions of single muons, while for the change of the cascade curve form (with production of the second maximum) the number of muon events is insufficient
