Pu+Be type neutron sources
Description
These sealed sources are prepared from a powder mixture of 239PuO2 and beryllium metal or from the intermetallic compound 239PuBe13 encased in a double casing of stainless steel or monel. Technical requirements on the source, the procedure of prescribed tests and demands on packaging, transport and storage are given as are dosimetric data for 239Pu+Be sources with a 239Pu activity from 30 to 1000 mCi and their dimensions.
