Mortality of liquidators in the Kaluga Region over 10 years since the Chernobyl accident

Description
Mortality of participants of the Chernobyl accident living in the Kaluga Region is analysed. A total of 105 deaths of response participants recorded in the Russian State Medical Dosimetric Register over 10 years after the Chernobyl accident are studied. Mortality coefficient for response participants changed from 0 in 1988 to 19.9 per 1000 in 1994 and the coefficient standardized by age from 0 (1988) to 2997 (1992) per 100 000 male population. The majority (84.7 %) died at the age of 30-49 years

Анализ смертности участников ликвидации последствий аварии на Чернобыльской АЭС, проживающих в Калужской области. Изучено 105 случаев смерти ликвидаторов, зарегистрированных в Российском государственном медико-дозиметричским регистре за 10 лет после аварии на ЧАЭС. Показано, что за указанный период коэффициент смертности ликвидаторов изменялся значительно: общий от 0 (1988 г.) до 19.9 (1994 г.) на 1000 человек, стандартизированный по возрасту от 0 (1988 г.) до 2997 (1992 г.) на 100 000 мужского населенияAdditional details
