Study of electrochemical behavior of molybdenum
Description
Measurements of Mo oxidation in nonaqueous electrolytes are reported. It was found that by polarizing Mo in ethanol--KOH solutions, curves characteristic of metals which can be passivated are obtained. Calculation results are included to show that it is possible to make a choice from many conceivable dissolution mechanisms. (U.S.)
