Simultaneous spectrophotometric determination of copper(2), vanadium(5), and iron(3) using 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde benzoylhydrazone

Description
A simple and new spectrophotometric method is proposed for the analysis of a three-component system containing Cu2+, V5+, and Fe3+ without separation using 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde benzoylhydrazone. The reagent reacts with the three metal ions at pH 5, forming soluble colored species in 30 % dimethylformamide. The physico-chemical characteristics, statistical analysis and application of the method of the analysis are reported. The effect of interfering ions is also studied

Предложена простая методика спектрофотометрического одновременного определения без разделения компонентов системы Cu2+, V5+ и Fe3+ с использованием бензоилгидразона 2-гидрокси-1-нафтальальдегида. Реагент взаимодействует со всеми тремя ионами при рН 5, образуя окрашнные комплексы, растворимые в 30%-ном диметилформамиде.
