Description
An equation of state for vanadium is proposed over a wide range of densities and pressures in the form of an analytic function of pressure on the specific volume and internal energy. The calculated cold curve and shock adiabat are compared with the available data from static and dynamic compression experiments. The developed equation of state can be used to simulate physical processes in vanadium under conditions of high energy density. (paper)
