Investigation of the liquid phase distribution in two-phase flow

  • 1. Institute of Physics and Power Engineering, Obninsk (USSR)

Description

The results of experimental and numerical investigations of the liquid phase distribution in steam-water annular-dispersed high pressure flow are presented in this paper. The experimental study was performed by using the isokinetic sampling method with phase separation. The profiles of the liquid phase local mass velocities over the steam-generating channel cross-section are obtained in a wide range of flow parameters. The numerical investigation was undertaken for to realize the influence of different modes of mass transfer on the liquid phase distribution over the channel cross-section and was performed on the base of two-dimensional mathematical model of two-phase flow.
