Uranium enrichment in gas centrifuges: repetition of material already covered

Description

Current state in the field of uranium 235 enrichment in gaseous centrifuges is analyzed. At present isotope enrichment of uranium 235 in the industrial scale is adopted in USA, Russian Federation, France, Grate Britain, Germany, Netherlands, Japan and China. Russia and USA are indisputable leaders among producers of enriched uranium. There are 4 separating plants using gaseous centrifuge technology for isotope separation in Russia. General productivity is 19 mln kg of EPP per year. The method of gaseous centrifuge for industrial uranium isotope enrichment will be the main separation method in the world at least in the first quarter of the XXI century

Abstract (Russian)

Анализируется современное состояние дел в области обогащения урана-235 методом газовой центрифуги. К настоящему времени изотопное обогащение урана-235 в промышленных масштабах освоено в США, России, Франции, Англии, Германии, Нидерландах, Японии и Китае. Безусловными лидерами среди производителей обогащенного урана являются США и Россия. В России имеется 4 разделительных завода, использующих для изотопного разделения технологию газовой центрифуги, с общей производительностью 19 млн. кг EPP в год. Метод газовой центрифуги для промышленного обогащения урана будет основным разделительным методом в мире по крайней мере в первой четверти XXI века
