Preventing risks related to radioactive lightning rod
Creators
Description
As tens of thousands of lightning rods equipped with a radioactive top end have been installed on roofs, this article outlines the possible exposure risks, and precautions required for their removal and collection, and evokes some examples (notably in Corsica) and the publication of a guide by the IRSN on this specific purpose. The article also proposes a brief interview of the person in charge of this issue in the ASN, and briefly evokes the situation in Belgium where the removal of these lightning rods is mandatory
