A method and devices for building the walls and roof of a large-size reinforced-concrete construction

Description

The present invention relates to a method for making the inner shuttering of large-size reinforced-concrete construction. In order to cast the first concrete layer of the cover dome of an enclosure comprising an inner metal envelope, the metal dome has to be propped up, which sets difficult problems. According to the invention, the enclosure is made tight and is filled with a compressed fluid, e.g. compressed air under a pressure of 0.1bar. The gas pressure counterbalances the concrete weight, thus making it possible to dispense with stays. A possible application lies in the manufacture of the concrete roof and, contingently, of the concrete vertical walls of a nuclear-reactor enclosure

Abstract (French)

La presente invention a pour objet un procede pour realiser le coffrage interieur d'ouvrage en beton arme de grandes dimensions. Pour couler la premiere couche en beton du dome de couverture d'une enceinte comportant une enveloppe metallique interieure, il faut etayer le dome metallique ce qui pose des problemes tres difficiles. Selon l'invention, on rend l'enceinte etanche et on la remplit d'un fluide comprime, par exemple d'air comprime a une pression de l'ordre de 0,1bar. La pression du gaz equilibre le poids du beton et permet d'eviter l'etalement. Une application est la construction du toit et eventuellement des parois verticales en beton d'une enceinte de pile atomique
