Structural conditions of maximal plasticity of two-phase metal materials
Description
The strength and plasticity characteristics of the two-phase materials based on iron and tungsten, with the controlled amount of the second phase and grain are described. The following systems: Fe-NbC and W-ZrO2 are considered. The content of the random-arranged spherical particles of the second phase which corresponds to the maximum plasticity depends only on the structural parameter of ratio d/D, where d- is the diameter of the particles and D- is the grain size. The absolute value of plasticity and its temperature dependence is a complex function of many variables: mechanical properties of the particles and extrusion die, phase interaction at the particle-die boundary, size of the particles, plastic strain and reverse process rates
