Process and device for machining the inner surface of a tubular piece and especially for a PWR pressure vessel adapter

Description

The inside surface of a tube is removed to a predetermined depth by a moving jet of water containing abrasive particles, directed on to the surface at an angle of 30 to 90 degrees thereto from a nozzle, which makes at least two passes, the second pass with a higher rotation speed, over the area to be removed. The device is mounted movable in translation and in rotation. 4 figs
