Description
This is the fourth article of a course on the Kubo formula and Green's function method. This fourth article is devoted for the Hall effect in a weak magnetic field. First, a gauge-invariant expression of the Hall conductivity is derived based on the Kubo formula and Green's function for the nearly free electron systems. Second, a Hall conductivity for Bloch electrons is given with a help of Feynman diagram technique. Third, a Hall conductivity for gapless Dirac electrons (Weyl electrons) is obtained by taking into account the interband effect of a magnetic field. (author)
