A highly efficient flux and power mapping technique for incore detector measurements

Description
An advanced technique for predicting the assembly and pin power distributions within a PWR core, which are optimally adapted to the measured activation rate distribution, is presented. The power prediction requires the evaluation of the incore activation measurement and the calculation of the current flux and power distributions. However, in this paper, the measurements are assumed to be obtained not from reactor operation data but from the postulated reactor core calculation by PANBOX2 code. Test results performed illustrate that the power prediction accuracy of the present method is equivalent or superior to INCORE code
