Description

Basin-range coupling evolution and mineralization is a hot topic in present geoscience. Basin-orogenic belt system in the northern Chaidamu Basin is a representative of basin-range coupling in Northwest China. Based on basin-range coupling system evolution, reconstructive effect of uranium metallogenic stratum, sandstone-type uranium metallogenesis, this paper divides the northern Chaidamu Basin into four tectonic elements at first. Basin-range coupling characteristics are discussed for the main tectonic movement periods. Reconstructive effect of basin-range coupling system to Jurassic, and Tertiary strata is analyzed. Finally, the main prospecting type has been proposed. (authors)
