Crystal structure of the complex ZrCl4x2DMFA

Description
Crystal structure of ZrCl4 complex with oxygen-donor ligand-dimethylformamide (DMFA) is investigated. Triclinic elementary cell parameters are equal to: a=6.388, b=7.622, c=8.324A, α=109.91, β=109.37, γ=82.65 deg, Z=1, sp.gr. P1-bar. In the crystal structure of ZrCl-4x2DMFA complex. Zr atom has octahedral coordination distorted by Cl four atoms and oxygen two atoms of DMFA molecules in transposition. Twinning along (011) plane may be caused by easiness of rotation of DMFA molecules by 180 deg around Zr-O bonds or is related with presence of cis-isomers
