For the heart of the quarks
Description
Addressing and commenting the evolution of knowledge on elementary particles, the author notices that some properties are common to the twelve known particles. He explains how this aspect suggests the possible existence of an internal structure for these objects. Some physicists suggest that these particles could be made of smaller entities named as 'preons'. Until now, there is no evidence of this hypothesis. He describes how the LHC could possibly give some clues on this issue
