Industrial application of neutron gauges for measuring acid concentrations

Description
Neutron gauges described in the paper are used for the continous measurement of acid concentration in industrial pipelines. The acid concentration is determined by measuring hydrogen content in the acid solution by slowing down fast neutrons from a Pu-Be source and detection of thermal neutrons. Construction of the gauge, its principle of operation and exploitation results are presented. 7 refs., 2 figs. (author)
