Spectral theory of the linear transport operator

One presents a rather complete review of the results so far obtained about the spectrum of the linear monoenergetic transport operator, mainly based on papers by Lehner, Wing, Joergens and Mika, and on some new results (part of them unpublished) of the authors. Several boundary conditions appearing in the linear transport are considered, some of which lead to completely solvable problems. Possible generalizations are mentioned in the last chapter. (author)
