Description
In the second part of the review, a description of the processes proceeding on the steel-bentonite interface is given. The changes that the unsaturated groundwater undergoes a buffer upon contact with the surface of the steel container are considered. The results of modeling the corrosion process under conditions of geological storage are presented, and the contribution of the anionic component and microorganisms is highlighted. The main provisions that are taken into account in conducting geochemical modeling of corrosion processes in the conditions of geological storage of radioactive waste are presented. (author)
