Description
The book reviews electron bombardment induced conductivity and its applications. The physical principles of electron bombardment conductivity (EBC) and the properties of electron beams and their interaction with matter are discussed. Steady state EBC of thin insulating films, electron voltaic effect (EVE), transient EBC time-of-flight measurements and specific materials properties determined by transient EBC techniques are described. Applications of EBC and EVE in electron devices, including the scanning electron microscope, are also dealt with. (U.K.)
