Lagrangian schemes and mesh generation methods in total energy
- 1. CEA Bruyeres-le-Chatel, 91 (France)
Description
The equations of compressible hydrodynamics flow with shocks are used to simulate most fluid flows. Numerical Lagrangian methods have been developed and applied to 3-dimensional calculations of fusion plasmas. The main feature of these methods is that the meshing is moving and follows the fluid flow. An example of the simulation of a flow with vorticity shows that these methods are well adaptable for multi-processors computations. (A.C.)
