Bracing system for the fuel elements of a reactor core
Description
The bracing system for the prismatic fuel elements of a sodium cooled reactor core, for example, helps the structural dimensions. Therefore, the fuel elements are connected together in each bracing plane by bearing elements such as balls, rolls, ball- or needle bearings or by elastic, deformable spring elements. For bracing on the circumference of the reactor core, there are also bracing elements of hexagonal cross-section which are divided longitudinally in the bracing area. By interaction with the elastic elements the fuel elements are held in the right geometric position in the hexagonal lattice in the bracing planes while they are pushed together. (orig.)

Das Verspannungssystem fuer die prismatischen Kernelemente des z.B. natriumgekuehlten Reaktorkerns dient der Dimensionsstabilitaet der Struktur in allen Betriebszustaenden. Hierzu stehen die Kernelemente in den einzelnen Verspannungsebenen ueber Lagerelemente wie Kugeln, Rollen, Kugel- oder Nadellager oder elastisch verformbare Federelemente miteinander in Verbindung. Zur Verspannung am Umfang des Reaktorkerns dienen ebenfalls Spannelemente, welche auch hexagonalen Querschnitt aufweisen und ueber den Bereich zwischen den Spannebenen laengs geteilt sind. Im Zusammenwirken mit den elastischen Gliedern wird erreicht, dass sich die BE beim Zusammenschieben in den Verspannungsebenen geometrisch richtig in das Hexagonalgitter einordnen. (orig.)Files
