Description

Excitation functions for natRb(p,xn)82Sr, 127I(p,xn)(x=3,5) and 206,207,208Pb(p,xn)205,206Bi reactions with 100 MeV protons have been measured by means of the stacked foils (pellets) technique and compared with theoretical calculations. These calculations are based on the Hybrid Model of nuclear reactions and are using well developed computer code Overlaid Alice (including preequilibrium effects). For the cases where the excitation functions were required, but the experimental data were missing the same computer code was used. Calculations have been performed for: 85Rb(p,xn), 85Rb(p,pxn), 87Rb(p,pxn), 87Rb(p,xn), 87Rb(p,pxn)(x=1/5); natRb(p,xn)82Sr; 127I(p,xn)(x=3,5); 206,207,208Pb(p,xn)(x=2/9); 206,207,208Pb(p,pxn)(x=2/7); natPb(p,xn)205Bi; 206,207,208Pb(p,xn)205,206Bi reactions in the energy range from threshold up to 100 MeV. At the initial proton energy of 100 MeV for production of 82Sr from natRb, 123I from 127I and 201Tl from 206Pb the cumulative yields (in defined energy windows) were found as: 0.43 mCi/μAh, 27 mCi/μAh and 35 mCi/μAh respectively. 52 refs., 23 figs., 10 tabs.
