Limitations on the supersymmetric weak sector derived from the K/sub L/-K/sub S/ system

Description

Using the Feynman rules developed by Gunion and Haber for the interaction of quarks with the supersymmetric particles squarks and charginos, this thesis computes that interaction's contribution to the ΔS = 2 transition of K0 to K0. The formula developed is then used to calculate the value for the anti K/sub L/-K/sub S/ mass difference, Δm, and the CP violating parameter, epsilon, resulting from selecting various possible values for the unknown parameters involved. By setting reasonable limits on the amount the quark-squark-chargino interaction is allowed to contribute to Δm and epsilon, constraints on the free parameters of the supersymmetric weak sector are realized
