A review is given of the results and possibilities of nuclear spectroscopy with oriented nuclei at extremely-low temperatures. The development of cryotechniques made this possible. Some examples are discussed: the gamma-emission of 131I, computation of the magnetic moment of the high-spin isomer 182Re, and some nuclear reactions with oriented nuclei
