Process for measuring and transferring a granular product and corresponding device

Description

The granular product is introduced at the same time with a transfer liquid in a container, below a grid placed at the upper part. The level of the product is determined by pressure measurement. The measured volume of product is transferred by compressed air through a pipe forming siphon. Application is made for dosage and transfer of spent ion exchange resins from primary cooling circuit of PWR and fuel storage swimming pool for subsequent embedding

Abstract (French)

Un produit en grains a doser est introduit en meme temps qu'un liquide de transfert dans un pot doseur, en dessous d'une grille de retenue prevue dans la partie superieure de celui-ci. La mesure de la pression en amont du pot doseur permet de detecter l'arrivee du produit au niveau de la grille, et d'en stopper l'introduction. Une canalisation formant siphon assure ensuite le transfert du produit dose dans un reservoir lorsque de l'air comprime est injecte. Application au dosage et au transfert des resines echangeuses d'ions usees provenant des circuits primaires des REP et des piscines de stockage des combustibles nucleaires
