Non-conventional hydrocarbons production: identification of atmospheric endocrine-disruptive pollutants
Creators
Description
Based on a non-exhaustive list of air pollutants generated by extracting unconventional hydrocarbon from sites in the United States, the authors of this study have identified 34 potentially endocrine-disruptive pollutants. While inviting the scientific community to use their work as a basis for further research, they emphasize the urgent need to protect the people living near these increasingly numerous polluting facilities.
