Proper modes and their attenuation in rectangular waveguids with wall losses

Description

Simple formulae are derived for obtaining the attenuation due to wall losses of proper modes (propagating with exponential attenuation but without change of form) in a rectangular waveguide with constant, scalar, wall impedance. It is shown how the procedure can be continued to higher orders and how its accuracy can be estimated
