Description
A study was conducted to develop an Apparatus Smart Low-Cost Radiation Monitor utilizing the Internet of Things (IoT) technology. The radiation measuring device created can remotely take accurate and comprehensive measurements, reducing the potential hazards that radiation protection employees encounter. This study showcases the conceptualization, execution, and verification of a radiation monitoring system based on the IoT framework. The radiation measurements are constructed using the BPW-34 PIN photodiodes array to detect radiation. These photodiodes are connected to an Arduino NodeMCU ESP8266, which is responsible for processing and presenting the results in sieverts (Sv). The monitor's accuracy was assessed by testing using standard radiation sources Cs-137. After three tests, the results indicate average error values of 0.399 %, 0,593 %, and 0,428 % for the first, second, and third tests, respectively. The measurement data, accompanied by geo-location information, is consistently transmitted to the Thing speak server in real time. (author)
