Description
The purpose of the research program is to extend the capabilities of an existing air-tight modular workshop dedicated to the treatment of alpha contaminated materials to other beta-gamma contaminated materials. In this connection, new elements have been developed and tested in a modular workshop used as testing facility as operations previously carried out by operators wearing ventilated suits should be from now on controlled by teleoperation from outside the workshop. The test results enabled qualifying dedicated materials, which enlarged to some extent the field of applications of the air-tight modular workshop. (author)
